The discursive construction of corruption in Mexico: a comparative analysis of government discourse and its impact on anti-corruption policies (2000-2024)

This article analyzes the evolution of the concept of corruption in Mexican governmental discourse across five presidential administrations (2000–2024), with the aim of identifying changes in the interpretative frameworks that guided the design of anti-corruption policies. The research adopted a qualitative–comparative approach based on argumentative discourse analysis, applied to the statements made by the head of the executive branch.
