Defining, measuring, and improving media integrity. A proposal

Media share a perception dilemma like that of governments: they are required to vigorously confront corruption although, simultaneously, they are branded as corrupt. To reverse this perception, media must raise its standards of integrity. However, two questions arise: how do we define media integrity, and could we quantify it by identifying its components? In this article, I propose a clear definition and methodology to evaluate integrity levels in the media. The main purpose is to provide these companies with concrete results that allow them to design precise actions to improve their level of integrity and reduce the perception of corruption...
