Abstract

We show some stylized facts and relationships between the Rule of Law and control of corruption and public spending in Latin America. Institutional indicators captures rule of law andcontrol of corruption; public spending indicators capture the percentages of GDP that are allocated to Education, Health and Public Services. The comparative analysis contains a panel of 16 Latin American countries, between 2000 and 2020. We use descriptive statistics, pairwise correlations, least squares regressions, and goodness-of-fit estimators...
