About the Journal

RC Rendición de Cuentas is an open-access print and digital journal. Its purpose is to articulate and promote a nationally and internationally recognized forum for research on accountability in Spanish, with an emphasis on Latin American countries. It seeks to consolidate a network of academic cooperation in this field of research.

The journal publishes research papers focused primarily on accountability in the areas of transparency, oversight, combating corruption, public accountability, and related topics. It publishes two volumes annually and is structured into three sections: a) articles; b) conferences; and c) a review section (of books, data, and publications).

The target audience is the community of academics, professors, researchers, graduate students in the social sciences, and anyone interested in the journal's topics.

The journal is published semiannually (January-June and July-December). The print run will be 50 copies and one electronic copy. The print run will be subject to budget changes that may be made in subsequent editions.

RC Rendición de Cuentas is published by the University of Guadalajara through the Institute for Research on Accountability and Combating Corruption (IIRCCC), sponsored by the University Center for Economic and Administrative Sciences (CUCEA).

The journal adopts the Creative Commons license and does not charge fees for the submission, review, publication, or any other editorial process of articles.
